Welcome to the world of Enfant Terrible.

Enfant Terrible is a Dutch independent platform for music and art and was founded in 2004. The focus for music is on indie / electronic / experimental (pop) music. When it comes to art we are interested in all things related to Pop Art, Trash Art, Dadaism and Lowbrow.

Enfant Terrible was, as a record label, one of the first to start to give recognition and attention to the pioneers of minimal electronics / proto-elektro / avant-garde pop / experimental pop from the early 1980's. Next to that we are one of the few labels in this field of music that truly invests in the development of new talents in this music tradition. Records like Trumpett Sounds (Enfant02, 2005) and Electronic Renaissance (Enfant04, 2006) have for been in a large part responsible for the revival of the styles mentioned above. 

In 2012 we started the Gooiland Elektro label for dancefloor orientated music: contemporary music in the traditions of early European techno, house and dance music.

Also we look beyond the borders of music. The limited edition artifacts and art objects are true collector pieces. These art objects are always in one way or another related to the music and artists we are involved with.

We focus on content and quality not on hypes and trends. So, we bring you the music we like in all its styles, genres and colors, beyond rigid definitions, with talents from today. And, as we love traditions we also re-release relevant lost material from the old days. 

The aim is to be your source for independent culture. This through our record label, special selected records in our webshop, events and other activities such as our blog, online art gallery and our radio programme.
