Passion Play - The Final Act (Aufnahme + Wiedergabe)
A new and the last album by one of my favorite guitar bands Passion Play. Not a real new album but a compilation with songs from 1998 to 2005, of which 5 were recorded for the first time especially for this release. Very nice melancholy new wave tunes... like Placebo without the glamrock touch and less indie but also never too goth in anyway... recommended!

Excellent release by White Hex... neo gothic (rock) as it should sound. It is gothic in every way but without the clichés... think Nick Cave instead of Christian Death... together with bands like Black Ice and Blessure Grave among the best gothic (rock) has to offer today... highly recommended!!

Great new release by Secret Society Of The Sonic Six... a strange band maybe... but great... not fitting in anywhere for real... but that is what makes it all only nicer... rough synth driven music... maybe rock like without sounding too much rock... original and authentic... If you like stuff like Sixteens for example you should check this out for sure! Highly recommended!!

Here is a band that can do nothing wrong to me... every song they produce is solid gold... after a 10" and two 7 inch (one on Hex Grammofoonplaten / Enfant Terrible) here is the debut album with trance indulging songs with elements from psychedelic music, minimal synth and post-punk... resulting in what you could call urban tribal music... Truly an outstanding band with a sound of their own...

Sixteens / Lineas Albies - Untitled split 10" (Pomez Records)
This record was released some years ago and I just forgot to get it... and I missed out on two of the best tracks Sixteens ever did! 'For Rent' is a synth punk dancefloor filler for sure while 'Snake Charmer' is a dark psychedelic trip that leaves you hungry for more. Lineas Albies is a Spanish (post)punk/rock band... maybe not everybody's cup of tea... but the two Sixteens tracks are more then worthwhile to get this record... I promise!!

Peter Quistgard - Peter Quistgard (Toztizok Zoundz)
Peter Quistgard from Holland did a great performance at the Enfant Terrible night 2009. His muzak is produced by electronic toy instruments that are often prepared... so they produce more noise. The style of Peter Quistgard is that of a messed up mix of elektro and gabber. Maybe think of Kania Tieffer but more dirty and messy... then you get the idea...a bit... Excellent debut 7" anyway here on an obscure Dutch label. For people with an open mind and taste!

After the new 12" on Hungry Eye (we recently had to re-order this one, so back in stock now) this is the new full lengt album by Mt. Sims. Like the 12" much more in the post-punk tradition as in the electro style of his early work. Spooky sounds and moody synths make up for some fierce contemporary post-punk songs with that obvious but nice 80's feeling...

After some cd-r releases on Bunkier this is the first release of Division S on Old Europa Cafe. Division S is one of the few post-industrial acts that get a lot of airplay at Enfant Terrible HQ. The decadent cabaret music and weird folk pop is perfect for playing in the evening while enjoying some red wine. The act has a sound of its own and is recommended to people who like Novy Svet, Wermut and maybe Dernière Volonté.
