ICK is a well know name in the industrial music world. Since a long time he is also involved in minimal electronic music.
On this 7″ EP ICK displays his perception on contemporary society. His dreams and fears about political power, youth and the future are crafted into fierce minimal elektro tracks with punk and industrial influences.
This is the first release on the new Petit Enfant series. This series is for 7″ releases only. The artwork is done by Dutch artist Edwin Stoutjesdijk (also known as dj Kramp from our Hex parties)…

The first of which is by ICK entitled ‘La Parade Des Sans Illusions’ What you get here are 4 tracks. ‘Society ‘ is metallic post industrial electro track with distorted vocal from another time. Good and evil sounding. I’m not sure if these are old or new tracks but who cares as this is dead futuristic. ‘De Cours’ has a vocal that’s even more distorted with scary 80’s horror synth sounds and what sounds like real drums playing a repetitive beat. Ooooohh!!!! The flipside sounds great with it’s dirty analogue synth and uptempo new wave electro beat. It gets quite intense and noisy with high pitched frequencies assaulting the ears. Since the first moments of “Societe D’Ombres” is clear what Ick is about: inflexible industrial electronic wave that sounds like an extreme version of early Die Form. The four tracks “Societe D’Ombres”, “Je Cours”, “Kings Of Speed” and “Avoir 20 Ans” (this last one has the same title of one Di Leo movies, starring Gloria Guida) sound like desperate anthems where the distorted vocals seem coming from the past, from a broken radio while the music built a desolation scenario really functional.” (Chain DLK)
