Winter is coming…

 

Despite all the things going on in this world I will continue with my label work… maybe even it is more important than ever… I believe that listening to free-spirited music will make your brain more open to free thinking and different perspectives… something lacking in this world in my opinion… Having a rich scope of different perspectives is the most valuable thing we could have in this world… and a way to secure our individual freedom and our respect towards each other…

The Journey of Taro and Circle Bros records have been shipped… the Taro even sold out already here at ET HQ… thanks for your support and trust! Both records are still available from selected (web)shops worldwide…

Test pressings for the next two Vrystaete records by Teahouse Radio (lo-fi ambient) and IYv (ambient/drone/folklore) have been approved by yours truly… but pressings plants are taking longer and longer to get their job done… and every time it also become more expensive… I hope vinyl records will remain something which is possible to publish by independent labels like mine in the future… time will tell…

Anyway… the Teahouse Radio and IYv records are expected to be ready somewhere around February 2022… so towards the end of winter… I will update the website with information and sounds on the upcoming records in some time… and I will post the progress on the printing of the artwork on instagram…

Almost there…

Summer is coming to and end… at least here at ET HQ… the records by Circle Bros and Taro have finally arrived and I am very very happy with how they sound… So next weeks I will finish all the work for these two… including applying stamps on the labels and numbering the artwork… Early September these two should be ready and out there…

A nice way to start up again after summer in my opinion…

Looking into the (near) future…

Here is a bit of news from ET HQ right before I am going offline for a few weeks….

The upcoming Vrystaete records by Circle Bros and Journey of Taro take longer as expected… delivery times at the pressing plant (and for that matter at all pressing plants) are becoming quite crazy… but this is beyond my control… so I have to deal with it… But just to give an idea… when I started ET in 2003 (first release in 2004) delivery times where 4 weeks… now it is 20+ weeks… Check that!

This also means I will be re-thinking my way fo working this summer… but I will continue to produce vinyl records in small editions for you music lovers, connaisseurs and collectors out there…

It also means that I sending the next two releases into production already… with about half a year waiting time there is no other way…

So… what to expect this winter? Two absolute great ambient records by IYv (also known as Skeldos) and Teahouse Radio (from Hypnagoga Press)… I am really excited about these records… I am working on the artwork now and these records will become very very nice… trust me on this one…

Intergalactic FM streaming fest 2021

The Intergalactic FM festival was this year again an online / a streaming event… to bad as I have good memories when we played there live a very punchy dj set… I think 3 years ago already…

Anyway to be part of the online fest this past May and avoid a boring webcam on my face while playing record I teamed up with Miss Mónica from Mexico… a longtime supporter of Enfant Terrible… and she also ran the now defunct Mecanica record store in Mexico City for some years… where ET releases were sold…

She created a vj set for a dj set I did with images from ET videos from the archive… the result was a “trip” as somebody told me… many people told me how much they liked it during and after the festival… so for that reason Miss Mónica and I decided to put it online for on demand viewing… Be warned this is not for the faint of heart… this is a rough industrial minded dj set with lots of occult and ritual and dark images to accompany it…

It is available at two places now… the Intergalactic FM archive and also at Vimeo… and Live Eye TV published it with a nice write up to accompany it…  It is also below… enjoy!

Playlist for All Night Flight…

I forgot to mention here I did quite recently a playlist for All Night Flight form the UK… it is a list with music by / from musicians and labels I respect and that (have) influence(d) and/or inspire(d) me… From the ambient moods of Hypnagoga Press to the dark noises of Haus Arafna and beyond…

All pieces in this selection come with some words for me on the music/musician/label…
