dj M. – Lesson#75

The dj set I did for the latest Radio Resistencia episode (May 2017) is now online at my mixcloud page. It is posted below…

This time a mix ranging from ambient to minimal electronics and  from EBM and techno to industrial…

Included are amongst others the latest releases on Galakthorrö, DKA Record and also the upcoming stuff on Enfant Terrible/Gooiland Elektro…

Out now!

ET_heartOut now are the three new releases on Enfant Terrible/Gooiland Elektro: the TWINS mini album, the Zarkoff & Ikonal EP and the Antlers Mulm 7 inch.

All three releases are synth driven but rather different in style… from post-punk influenced elektro (TWINS) to acid with a touch of EBM (Zarkoff & Ikonal) to melancholy synth pop (Antlers Mulm).

Full track previews are online on the ET soundcloud page… and the records are for sale at the ET webshop and at selected (web)stores around the globe…

LCN – Appartenance

Earlier this year I released the “Noblesse Oblige” compilation LP on Gooiland Elektro… on this record is the pounding EBM influenced track “Appartenance”… this track is by LCN… who is also known as Le Chocolat Noir and Honored Matres and he is also part of FFFC (Florence Foster Fan Club)…

Now the musician himself made a video for “Appartenance”… which is posted below… enjoy!

dj M. – Lesson#67

Here is the dj set I recorded just before summer as part of a Radio Resistencia episode for Intergalactic FM… it features classic 90’s and 00’s electro-industrial, EBM, goth, industrial and more and a few 80’s classics… expect some real dancefloor favourites from the likes of Suicide Commando, Velvet Acid Christ, Will, Haus Arafna and Black House…

dj M. – Lesson#66

There is a new mixtape / dj set online which I recorded not too long ago… it features old school EBM, dark elektro, dark techno… all of this often spiced up with industrial tendencies so to speak… featured are tracks from Le Syndicat Electronique, Roberto Auser, Ian Martin, Utroid, Moncorpse, Blush Response and Mace. amongst others… and sorry for the skipping in one track… that is what you get with old vinyl records that you have played too many times…

Onmens

onmensLPOnmens is quite a new outfit from Belgium… last year they released two albums… of which one, entitled “Witruimte”, is also available on vinyl…

This duo is armed with electronics, electric guitar and voice/screams… sort of the same line-up as legendary Belgian EBM pioneers The Neon Judgement… Onmens is maybe a bit weirder and with more of a punk punch to it… although of course the first stuff from The Neon Judgement was also rather punk influenced… so yes… Onmens could be seen as working in the tradition of this influential 80’s band…

The electronic beats of Onmens are rough and in your face and the vocals are mostly delivered in screams… but the ten songs on the “Witruimte” are still quite diverse… from uptempo tunes to more weird and a bit vague and trippy pieces… both in sound and in madness the band reminds me at times of PIA fRAUS… of which Embers (see their “Kout EP” on ET) is an offspring…

Also the band shares instruments/line-up, sound and attitude with the Dutch duo Aux Raus (now defunct)… but Onmens is Belgian and Aux Raus was Dutch… so expect industrial/EBM/weird influences instead of hardcore gabber stuff in the sound of Onmens…

I recommend to keep an eye out for Onmens… both for new material as for live shows… promising stuff for the future! And… I have a few copies of the “Witruimte” vinyl LP in the webshop

And… here is video/track from the album… enjoy!
