Yesterday I finished the screen printed sleeves for the upcoming Garçon Taupe release… Andy Dufter (Staatseinde) helped me out… due to the temporary set up at the new location of Kapitaal I got a bit dirty with ink all over the place and it was quite hard to print these sleeves… but we managed to get it done…
These sleeves for Gooiland Elektro take a lot of time to print… so much that I decided to change the design and the printing technique for this series from now one… so the LCN and Garçon Taupe releases are the last ones in this style… more on the new design concept later… it is finished but all in time…
Yesterday I started printing the sleeves of the upcoming releases… four sleeves have to be done i total and one is finished now… together with Roberto Auser I printed the LCN sleeve at the new place of Kapitaal in Utrecht… as the new print studio at this location is not set up yet we had to improvise a bit… but the sleeve came out well… so one down… three to go… two more screen printed sleeves and one I will do with a risograph machine… more news when there is…
Holidays are over here at ET HQ… since today… and all activities are starting up again… the website will be updated this week with the 4 upcoming releases… same goes for my soundcloud… and I made a start over there with adding a full track preview already of the LCN 12″ EP coming on Gooiland Elektro soon… you can listen it below…
FOQL is no stranger I hope to people checking this website and blog… this Polish producer released an 12″ EP on Gooiland Elektro and contributed tracks to compilations both as FOQL as with the Osty project she is part of…
Recently a new album was released on cassette by Always Human Tapes… this album is entitled “Lower Your Expectations”… but unlike the title maybe suggests the music is top notch…
FOQL never really does one thing nor copy cats herself so to speak… so expect some new sounds from her… still recognisable… but this album is quite divers… ranging from minimal electronics to acid and to harsh techno… the louder and freaky techno and acid pieces are my favourites but the complete album is worth checking out…
