End of the year…

Most packages with the Lend Me Your Underbelly and Ô Paradis LP’s have been shipped… After Xmas I will ship the remaining… so all (web)shops have been supplied and private orders should have been delivered…

Preparations for the next two records are set in motion… these will be the second EP by Leroy Se Meurt and an EP by Futuro de Hierro (Magia Roja, Barcelona)… both will be released  in the Gooiland Elektro series… More on these around early 2020…

And… also something is cooking  for early January… more on this very soon!

Have a happy Xmas and nice end of the year celebration and see you on the other side…

Out now: 2 x new Vrystaete

It took me some time but the two new Vrystaete releases are ready and will be on there way to people and (web)shops from later this week onwards…

So both Lend Me Your Underbelly and Ô Paradis can be enjoyed during your Xmas dinner…

I always miscalculate the amount of time needed to complete the Vrystaete records… next to printing the artwork and the info sheet there is the numbering of the artwork and the applying of stamps on the record labels (4 on each record) and on the info sheet (1 on each info sheet)… then there is the assembling of it all… so well… if I would include my hours spend on this in the price of the records they would become too expensive to sell…

So… think about that when you have in your hands sooner or later… these records are quite priceless… 😉 And… I saw in Discogs lately that at least one is already a real collector piece but I am quite sure a few more will become that too shortly… most titles are sold out or low in stock at most places…

Lend Me Your Underbelly (again)

I wrote before on Lend Me Your Underbelly… a Dutch one man band in love with psychedelic music… most of his work until now is with electric guitar with lots of effects and electronics… but there is a new album coming up with a more acoustic focus…

The title is quite fitting as this new album will be called “Campfire Ballads”… the songs are all quite long with a prominent acoustic guitar and some other acoustic instruments and electronics and effects on the side… so not 100% campfire tunes… only for the better in my opinion!

You could describe the sound of the album as lo-fi ambient folk but basically this psychedelic music… to keep it simple…

Below is a preview of one full track… the album will be out on the 22nd of February…

Lend Me Your Underbelly

Dutch one-man-band Lend Me Your Underbelly released his third album some time ago… the new record is entitled “The Edge of a Curious Wilderness”…  Armed with guitar, effects and electronics Lend Me Your Underbelly creates droney soundscapes and noise pieces… all rather psychedelic and this time also quite dark and haunting… below are the two tracks I like the best from this album… but the complete record is worth checking out for sure!

Radio Resistencia with live Lend Me Your Underbelly

RR_logoThis sunday (17th of May 2015) is the next Radio Resistencia session at Kapitaal in Utrecht. Most of the time we have live acts from within The Netherlands… but this time it is even a musician from the city of Utrecht: Lend Me Your Underbelly. See here for a little piece I wrote about this lo-fi / psychedelic project recently.

Just last week Lend Me Your Underbelly presented his new, and second, album “Hover”. Just to get in the mood here is a video / track from this album…

The session starts at 15.00 hour and ends at 18.00 hour and entrance is free and drinks are cheap…

Lend Me Your Underbelly

lendmeyourunderbellySince some years a part of my focus for Enfant Terrible is on contemporary Dutch music… the true starting point of this was of course the “Kamp Holland” 2LP compilation… and ever since then I am on the look out for more interesting new stuff from my own country which also fits my musical taste and styles for ET…

Recently I came across Lend Me Your Underbelly… a project from Utrecht… the city I started Enfant Terrible and I lived for a long time… Lend Me Your Underbelly is a true DIY project… releasing his own music on his own label Epigenetic Records… a second album is on its way but for now there is a 7″ and a 2LP… both dating from 2013…

The 2LP “Giant Tadpoles Among Us” is a must have for fans of lo-fi psychedelic pop music… if you like stuff from Fonal, Morc and Vrystaete this is for you… the music is mostly based on guitar tunes added with electronics… in a way the recordings sound like rehearsal recordings… but I mean this in a positive way… the intimate sound and feeling of these recordings make up for a super nice listening experience…

And for the locals… Lend Me Your Underbelly will perform live at Radio Resistencia on  the 17th of May… for now you can order the album here… and here is my absolute favourite piece form the album…
