Staatseinde K7

Staatseinde released a second tape on their own Ende Der Zukunft Recordings label. The first one was an overview of past to present never released tracks. This new tape is one filled with tracks they did with various other artists… the funny thing is that this release feels much more coherent as the previous one… despite all the different collaborations which are showcased here…

You get 11 tracks by Staatseinde teaming up with the likes of Sololust, Lovaratrax, Arpatle, Butsenzeller, Wout Waanders and more…

Stand out tracks are the three featured did with Dutch poet Wout Waanders… the tracks are great music wise… but the spoken word kind of vocal delivery also really adds something… the pieces are quite dark and have a great flow… so I hope Staatseinde will be doing more in this style in the near future…

You can check this tape on the Staatseinde Bandcamp webpage here…

RX-101 and (not so) slow acid

I am a long time fan of Suction Records from Canada… it is even among the labels through which I started to listen to elektro music… sort of recently RX-101 was discovered by the label boss and he started releasing the music of this Dutch 1990’s project…

For me this artist was totally new… it fits the IDM stuff Suction already released perfectly… it times it sounds very Rephlex like… and the name is cool… being taken from the Roland SH-101 synth…

Already four 12″ EP’s were released… the first two in 2016 and last year two more came out… one a bit IDM inspired and with some synth stuff… the other a great EP filled with acid trax…

The first two EP’s are compiled on a CD and the second two on another CD… ant through this CD is discovered I  was playing the acid 12″ too slow… I played it at 33 RPM all the time since it arrived… and it sounded wicked… especially the slow(er) stuff… but when I played the CD I discovered the tracks were faster… and I checked the sleeve of the 12″… it said quit big 45 RPM… so well… I think I stick to the slower speed anyway as the tracks sound so great that way…

Ich Wollte, Ich Könnte

Recently almost the complete output of Ich Wollte, Ice Könnte (IWIK) re-appeared on cd… It has been silent around this Wermut side-project since years… One vinyl album and two 7″s were released in the past… and now there is a cd bringing together the album, the first 7″, one digital compilation track and two track released on a vinyl compilation… the only thing missing is the second 7″… but that is also the only record still available / for sale for normal prices… and also you get three unreleased tracks on this disc…

IWIK was created when Invasion Planète label ask Wermut for a collaboration for a compilation… IWIK unlike Wermut staid more to one sound… While Wermut went from post-industrial to minimal-elektro to krautrock IWIK was always rather synth driven… I somewhere read this being called “funeral wave” and it sort of is… all moody, tragic, minimalistic and subtle…

This cd comes in an edition of 200 copies… 180 copies as a regular digipack and 20 copies in a special box… so most likely this will soon be another cult release like the original vinyl records from 10 years ago this cd collects… better get it now or be sorry later…

Video for LCN – N’Ecoutez Pas Tous Les Conseils De Vos Amis

After the homemade video for  the track “Dans Mon Desordre” there is now a professional video for “N’Ecoutez Pas Tous Les Conseils De Vos Amis”… this new video is done by BAKA Productions and is all kinds of awesome… I posted it below…

The great webzine Live Eye TV did a nice write up for the video and even nominated the video for best video of 2017…

Both tracks are of course form the recently released 12″ EP “Autonomie”

LCN Video

LCN did a homemade video… well not 100% homemade as it was not filmed at home but on one of his travels… anyway he did a video himself for one of his tracks which appear on the “Autonomie” 12″ EP out now on Gooiland Elektro…

Live Eye TV did a super nice write up and post for the video… you can check it here…

The video is also below…

Gooiland/ET mix

A few weeks ago we recorded a Radio Resistencia episode at Red Light Radio in Amsterdam. Of course the show was narrowcasted on Intergalactic FM… as always!

The set I did over there is now online at my mixcloud. It features only Gooiland Elektro and Enfant Terrible vinyls… a lot of recent stuff but also a few oldies and (modern) classics… you can also listen to the dj set below…
