Solid Space

I have to be honest… I never really was into the Solid Space tape album… of course I loved “Tenth Planet” and “A Darkness In My Soul”… these tracks I have been listening for years and years… they are absolute classics in the field of minimal (synth)… but the rest of the album ‘Space Museum’ never really did it for me…

Recently Dark Entries released the tape on vinyl (for the first time officially, so not as bootleg) and of course I wanted to have these two tracks at last on vinyl… this as the two tracks alone make this record worthwhile to have…

But… I have been playing this LP now several times and I quite like most of the other tunes on it as well as it seems… funny how things sometimes can change over time… still “Tenth Planet” and “A Darkness In My Soul” are the absolute highlights of this record but you will hear some other nice songs in case you get this record…

I have a few copies for sale in the webshop…

Out now!

I am very happy that at last the four new records are ready and I can start shipping this week… it took about a month longer as aspected… but in the end it most of the time does…

Now it is time for folding sleeves and assembling the records… then I can ship out to pre-orders and shops… of course these new releases are also available in the ET webshop here and here

I hope you will enjoy these as much as I do!

New beats

Recently some great beat orientated records arrived here at ET HQ… these are added now to the webshop… instead of using too many words I have posted below three tracks from three of these records…

One is by Solitary Dancer… a project which reminds me in some ways of Sololust… another one is Multiple Man… a band with a classic EBM sound… very much like Ministry during their “Twitch” period and also with references to Nitzer Ebb… also the second compilation on DKA Records arrived… filled again with contemporary EBM beats and moods… Celldöd contributes a track which seems like a tribute to Liaisons Dangereuses… all three tracks are below… enjoy!

Lay Llamas and Benoit Pioulard

The Italian label Backwards is among my favourite labels since they
started to release records in 2012. Control Unit and Wakinyan both delivered great albums that year through the label. Mirt is another personal favourite artist related to Backwards and the Fabrio Orsi album Endless Autumn is equally amazing… too bad it is only available on cd. And… also check out the Father Murphy 10″ while you dig into this…

layllamasAnyway… recently Backwards released some new records which are truly nice… One of them is the re-issue of the first Lay Llamas album… released on 2012 on tape. This album is the perfect record for this summer… trippy and spacey tunes that never over the edge psychedelic… it is quite relaxing music which works well while hiding in the shadows on a hot day… think some sort of Sun Ra Arkestra but not jazzy… if this makes any sense…

The other record is also a sort of re-issue… as the two songs on the Benoit Pioulard 7 inch are basically from 2000-2001. So from even before his debut release. For this new release the tracks are re-recorded. These two tracks are both typical for the artist as well as a great introduction to his work… The A side is dreamy song… a bit in between indie-pop and experimental folk while the B side is an ambient soundscape… very tranquil and soothing… and these two “styles” are basically which Benoit Pioulard works around in his music today…

A few copies of both records are available at the ET webshop… already available at the discogs shop and soon also through the new ET website/webshop…

Here is the B side of the Benoit Pioulard 7 inch…

And here is one piece by Lay Llamas…

Mailorder update: Codex Empire and Blush Response

Both Codex Empire and Blush Response deliver a new 4 track 12″ EP on the Berlin based label Aufnahme + Wiedergabe… both projects are exponents of the current techno scene which blends dark goth inspired sounds from the 90’s and EBM rhythms with contemporary industrial techno music…

While Codex Empire is more into 90’s goth/darkwave when it comes to lending elements Blush Response seems to more focussed on (harsh) EBM… still both new EP’s will also interest fans of industrial music and especially those into rhythmic noise… think Ant-Zen style…

Both records can be ordered by through the ET mailorder or the ET discogs webshop… I only have a few copies of each… so be quick or be sorry…

Below you can listen to a full track of each release…

Some tunes from the backstock

I often wonder why it is that the best records always sell the worst… at least the best records in my opinion… and this is true for both my own label releases as webshop items… so I went through my backstock and found some really excellent releases safely stored waiting for some people who recognise the quality of the music… below just a few examples of some treasures hidden in the Enfant Terrible webshop… and first here a few more tips for the adventurous listeners among you: His Divine Grace/De Grace split LP, Future Blondes LP, Smycken/Viking Jews split LP and Lowfish 7″…
